Analogue to digital convertors (ADCs) are used to convert analogue signals, such as audio signals, to digital numbers (digital signals).

Audio Amplifiers

These are electronic amplifiers that amplify low power audio signals, in the 20Hz to 20kHz band, to a level suitable for driving a loudspeaker or headset.

Integrate all the audio functionality such as signal routing, mixing, converting and amplifying onto a single audio centric device to give consistent high definition audio quality across different applications and tiers.

Digital to analogue converters (DACs) perform the opposite function of the ADC by converting the digital signal back to the analogue domain (audio signal) ready for playback via loudspeakers or headsets.

Imaging ADCs

Imaging ADCs are analogue front-end (AFE) and digitiser integrated circuits capable of processing and digitising the analogue output signals from sensors such as light or contact.

MEMS Microphones

Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) microphones offer a unique combination of high performance and compact form factor to enable crystal clear audio capture. The close tolerance sensitivity makes them ideal for multi-microphone applications such as noise cancellation and speakerphone.

Power Management

Power management integrated circuits (PMICs) intelligently manage and optimise the use of power within the system architecture to maximise battery life in portable devices.

Media players

Excellent audio performance is the foundation of all Wolfson devices. We offer a range of solutions for portable media player applications including high performance, low power Audio Hubs with headphone amps and speaker drivers that deliver an exceptional listening experience, as well as highly integrated power management ICs to maximise battery performance and minimise component count and ease system design.

Key features include: Wolfson's HD Audio, highly efficient speaker and headphone driver technologies, stereo DACs offering an SNR of up to 100dB in typical playback mode, integrated power management and a small total solution footprint.
