PETER FRITH

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER (CTO)

Mr Frith joined Wolfson as an Analogue Design Engineer in 1985. In 2000 he became Wolfson’s VP of New Product Definition, a role in which he was instrumental in leading the design of many of the Company’s current successful products. In 2006 Mr Frith was promoted into his current position as Chief Technical Officer. Prior to being at Wolfson, he worked at MEDL. Mr Frith holds an Honours Degree in Physics and a Masters Degree in Microelectronics from Durham University

 
Andy Brannan

ANDY BRANNAN

CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER (CCO)

Mr Brannan, most recently Vice President of Nokia's SOSCO business (acquired through Nokia's acquisition of Symbian Ltd) joined Wolfson in July 2009, bringing over 17 years experience in global technology sales and marketing management.  Prior to Nokia, Mr Brannan spent over eight years at Symbian Software Ltd, where he was Executive Vice President of Sales & Customer Operations and a board member. He was responsible for Symbian's global relationships with mobile device manufacturers and network operators and ran the professional services business delivering bespoke engineering services. While at Symbian Mr Brannan helped lead them to a 70% global market share, more than 200 design wins, shipment of over 200 million devices and two Queen's awards for innovation and international trade.

Mr Doran joined Wolfson in September 2008 from Motorola Ltd as Vice President Product Management and in June 2009 became Chief Operating officer. Mr Doran has a strong pedigree in Operations, Program Management and Product & Portfolio Management gained from almost 20 years in the consumer electronics industry. He has introduced many successful global new products to the consumer market and was educated at Paisley University obtaining a BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Mr Laming joined Wolfson in January 2007 through the acquisition of Oligon Ltd, a MEMS Company, which he co-founded in 2005 where he was Chief Executive. Mr Laming became Wolfson's Chief Strategy Officer in July 2009. Prior to this he founded Kymata Ltd in 1998, a leading supplier of optoelectronic components prior to its acquisition by Alcatel in 2001. He has also served as CTO and CEO for Alcatel Optronics UK Ltd. Prior to Kymata Mr Laming was Deputy Director at the Southampton University Optoelectronics Research Centre and co-founded the original Southampton Photonics. Mr Laming holds a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham University and a PHD in Electronics and Computer Science from Southampton University. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of both the IET and Royal Academy of Engineering.

VP SOUND & IMAGING SOLUTIONS

Mr Edington joined Wolfson as Vice President and Business Unit Manager in 2005, moving to Vice President of Marketing in 2007 going on to become Vice President Sound & Imaging in June 2009. He has 20 years of experience in the electronics industry, within engineering, general management and business development roles. He joined Wolfson from Sanmina-SCI, where he was responsible for UK Business Development. He was previously Board Director and General Manager of MSC Scotland. Mr Edington holds an Honours degree in Applied Physics and Microelectronics and an MBA from Durham University.

SVP MOBILE & POWER SOLUTIONS

Mr Banham joined Wolfson as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales in August 2006 and became Senior Vice President of Mobile and Power Solutions in July 2009. He has 24 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, covering a wide range of roles from sales management to operations. He joined Wolfson from Philips Semiconductor where he was Senior Vice President and General Manager Regional Sales and Operations, EMEA. Prior to that Mr Banham worked with ON Semiconductor as President and General Manager EMEA and Motorola Semiconductor Products where he held several global roles. Mr Banham holds a Bachelors degree in electronics.

VP HUMAN RESOURCES

Ms Urquhart joined Wolfson as Vice President of Human Resources in April 2007. She has 15 years plus international strategic, tactical and operational HR experience gained across multiple sectors including FMCG, Financial and Software services & Consulting. She joined Wolfson from Convergys where she was Vice President of Human Resources for Asiapac, EMEA and Latam providing support to circa 30,000 employees across three diverse business units. Issy has an Honours degree in English from Nottingham Trent University and gained her professional qualification in Personnel & Development from London University.

 
JEAN-LOUIS COLS

JEAN-LOUIS COLS

VP DEVELOPMENT

Mr Cols joined Wolfson as Vice President of Development in November 2007 to lead engineering and program management for Wolfson’s IC products. He has 22 years of experience managing engineering teams in the U.S., Europe and India. He joined Wolfson from Texas Instruments, where he held the successive posts of Director of R&D Europe and Worldwide System Test Director for Cellular Systems. Prior to TI, Mr Cols worked at Sony Ericsson, Matra Marconi Space UK and Spar Aerospace Canada in various design and program management roles. Mr Cols holds an engineering degree from ENSAM in Paris and an MBA from HEC, University of Montreal, Canada.

VP OPERATIONS

Mr Lavety joined Wolfson as Operations Manager in 2001, a role in which he was instrumental in developing the Company’s global supply chain operations. He has many years experience of international manufacturing and supply chain management and in 2007 he became Wolfson’s VP Operations. Prior to being at Wolfson, he worked in Medical Device Manufacturing based in the US and UK. Mr Lavety holds an Honours Degree from University of Strathclyde Business School and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, also from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

COLMAN CLARKE

VP QUALITY, IT & FACILITIES

Mr Clarke is Vice President of Quality and has functional responsibility for SIP Development within Wolfson, developing new technologies relating to systems in a package. He joined Wolfson in 1990 as Director of Test Engineering. Prior to joining Wolfson he held various design evaluation and test engineering positions at Analog Devices, Inc. Mr Clarke holds a First Class Honours Degree B.E. (Elec) from University College Cork.

ALLAN HUGHES

VP MARKETING & APPLICATIONS

Mr Hughes joined Wolfson in March 2009 as VP Marketing and Applications. Mr Hughes has many years of senior management experience in both the semiconductor and consumer electronics industries. He held a variety of senior positions in Freescale (previously Motorola Semiconductor) and was European General Manager at Chartered Semiconductor. Prior to joining Wolfson Mr Hughes was global product marketing director for multimedia phones at Motorola.

MEMS BUSINESS MANAGER

Mr Hesketh joined Wolfson following the acquisition of Oligon Ltd in January 2007. He co-founded Oligon Ltd in 2005 and held the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr Hesketh is currently responsible for MEMS based products within Wolfson. He has over 25 years experience in the development and delivery of high technology products in both large and SME companies and has held senior executive positions within BAESystems, Kymata, Alcatel, Avanex, and Gemfire Corp covering R&D, Product Management and Strategic Market Development. Mr Hesketh holds an Honours degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from RGIT in Aberdeen, Scotland.

RASH SAHOTA

VP & GM SOUNDWARE & SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS

Rash Sahota joined Wolfson in November 2008 from Motorola Inc and became VP & General Manager for Soundware Solutions in March 2009. Mr Sahota brings with him over 20 years of experience across product development, manufacturing and business management within the mobile telecoms industry. Mr Sahota previously held positions in VP& General Management at Motorola, Ericsson Mobile Platforms, Ericsson Mobile Communications and Ericsson Infrastructure division, delivering many mobile handsets and infrastructure products to market.
