Wolfson is a global leader in the supply of audio solutions comprising high performance mixed-signal semiconductor chips, audio digital signal processors and software algorithms for the consumer electronics market. Our innovative audio solutions  can be found at the heart of many of the world’s leading digital consumer goods including mobile phones, particularly smartphones, tablet computers, gaming consoles, eBook readers, televisions, premier hi-fi equipment, digital still cameras and multimedia players.

How does Wolfson manufacture its products?

Wolfson subcontracts product fabrication to silicon wafer foundries and assembly and test partners: the so-called "fabless" business model.

When was Wolfson’s initial public offering and what was the offer price?

On 21 October 2003, the ordinary shares of Wolfson Microelectronics plc were admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange’s main market for listed securities. The offer price was £2.10 per share.
