This evaluation platform has been designed as a simple means of evaluating the WM8196 scalable AFE device in a 28-pin SOIC package. It is a versatile design capable of configuring to most applications suited to the device.
The evaluation PCB is designed to use the evaluation software supplied to control the register and internal settings of the WM8196 device. To aid with setup, the evaluation software has typical register and control setups for CIS and CCD applications. All external input and output signals are available via standard PCB mounted connectors.
This evaluation platform and documentation should be used in conjunction with the latest version of the WM8196 datasheet. The datasheet gives device functionality information as well as timing and data format requirements.
