The WM8978 is Stereo DSC Codec with stereo pseudo-differential microphone inputs and additional stereo auxiliary and line input connections. The device is equipped with dedicated stereo headphone and speaker output drivers and two additional output drivers.
This evaluation platform and documentation should be used in conjunction with the latest version of the WM8978 datasheet. The datasheet gives device functionality information as well as timing and data format requirements.
