The 1014-EV1 filter board is designed to filter the output of Class D speaker amplifiers, so that the performance can be measured with a range of audio test equipment. Wideband noise from these amplifiers in ‘filterless’ configuration is known to affect many audio analysers, often raising the measured noise floor, so suitable high-performance filtering is required to limit this effect.
