WM8740-EV1 is a board designed to demonstrate Wolfson’s WM8740 Audio DAC and evaluate its performance. The circuit consists of a digital data receiver, a control interface, the WM874 audio DAC, and analogue output filter and buffer ciruitry.The interface to this board is via an optical or coaxial digital input. S/PDIF, AES/EBU, UEC958 and other formats are supported. A direct digital input is also available. The board functionality can be controlled by hardware or by software, using the control software provided with the board.
