The WM8816Vol_EV1 has been designed to fully demonstrate the capabilities, functionality and performance of the WM8816 Stereo Volume Controller. This evaluation platform should be used in conjunction with: The latest revision of the WM8816 datasheet And either: The WM8816 Micro-Controller Board (WM8816_Micro_EV1) OR the WM8816 Control Software The datasheet offers device functionality information as well as timing and data format requirements. The WM8816 Micro-Controller Board (WM8816_Micro_EV1) provides a hardware method of creating the appropriate digital control data for up to three WM8816Vol_EV1 boards (for a 6 channel surround sound system). Alternatively a single WM8816Vol_EV1 board can be driven using the WM8816 Control Software.
