High performance silicon microphones.
Alongside Wolfson's existing mixed-signal semiconductor expertise, silicon microphones extend performance and functionality. A combination of performance and compact form factor (which enables multiple microphones to be a used in a wide range of consumer devices), enables advanced features such as speech recognition, directional sensitivity and noise cancellation. All of this in a highly economic package, enabling automated surface mount assembly for easy integration into high volume manufacture with improved reliability, yield and reduced assembly costs.
